New Version 2.0.2.7 Fixes All Known Bugs

Filed under: Main — jplamere @ 6:01 am

We’ve worked hard on this much anticipated new version which addresses nearly every major known bug our users have reported to us. The aim of this version was to clean up all known issues in preparation for our next release which will contain some very cool new features and improvements.

The most noticeable new feature in this version is IP Validation, where every IP our users receive is checked for validity, with good IPs automatically replacing bad ones.  All functionality has been fine tuned, and provides much better support for Windows 7 with IE 8. For FireFox users, we have a new FireFox Add-on so you should uninstall your current one and then re-install the latest FireFox Add-on from our website.

To upgrade IPRental to the new version, just open the program and you will get the choice to upgrade. Any prior versions to 2.0.2.7 will cease functioning after Feb 3rd.

We’re feeling great about this new version and think you will as well, and we look forward to your feedback as well as suggestions for future features.

Thanks! IPRental Staff

IPRental Version 2.0.1.11 Major New Release!

Filed under: Main — System Monitor @ 10:46 am

We have just released a major new version of IPRental that contains many of the features our customers have been requesting, here are some highlights:

IPR Tunnel- is a new special 256 bit AES encryption connection method designed to prevent man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks. This type of data intrusion is common in countries which censor the Internet data of their citizens, including China, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Maldives, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Syria, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and other countries and also corporations.  Part of our Internet security and unfettered access system includes the release of a special browser for use in situations of heavy censorship or where users are worried about spying on their Internet traffic. This simple bare-bones browser operates on our secure tunnel.

OnBoard Proxy Service- the new version allows IPRental to work in a similar fashion to traditional proxy services, with the ability to loopback which allows users to specify certain ports which many software products can use to attain new IPs from IPRental. Premium users of IPRental can specify the ports of  54420 and 54421 to attain a fresh IP each time when switching between these two ports by using the new  Socket IP Swith Tool. This tool allows users to switch between ports automatically, so while data is flowing through Port A, any requests that are cycled to Port B will cause IPRental to fetch a new IP for that data session.  This tool will be useful for third-party applications wanting to switch the IP remotely without getting a programmer involved.

User Agent Masking- There are three main ways websites can track you, by IP Address, Cookies, and User Agent. Many people are not aware of the User Agent, which is a combination of  factors including the type and size of browser you are using, your operating system, and some other factors. Our latest version contains a handy feature which let’s you randomly assign various User Agent data to your session, thus completely masking your identity for totally safe anonymous web browsing.

Automatic Cookie Deletion- you can now enable the option to automatically delete your cookies & temporary Internet files each time you get a fresh IP from IPRental, very handy!

Settings Galore- our new version gives users access to a new wide range of options to optimize IPRental for their specific needs. Fail-safe settings, loading Optimal Settings, checking logs are just a few, and there are many more improvements in this major new release, check them out for yourself by upgrading to the new version here:

Staff’s Favorite Uses of IPRental

Filed under: Main — jplamere @ 1:38 pm

One of our favorite uses of IPRental is when we are overseas, and we try to listen to Pandora or watch Hulu which is not allowed from outside the USA due to licensing and copyright isssues. So what we do is run IPRental, stream our music in IE but then use FireFox for our regular work with the IPRental FireFox Add-On disabled, in this way we use our local ISP for our regular work and surfing and don’t slow down the IPRental network since we’re using our local IP in Firefox, and a USA IP in IE. We’re psyched that streaming Hulu and Pandora and other sites works great over IE, hopefully the world will catch on soon and start ordering our Media Service package.
